Preschoolers and children are very important to us at Lakeside. We are always continuing to improve all of our programs to better teach and meet the needs of our preschoolers and children. Through Sunday School, missions, choirs, outreach and more; we want to share the Word of Jesus Christ to these 'youngsters' who are eager to learn!
Bible Study
Our Bible study classes are for ages birth through fifth grade. Preschoolers through kindergarten completed remain in their classes through Sunday morning worship, at the discretion of the parents, and receive a light snack during the transition times. During the 8:00 AM worship service, we offer preschool classes for birth through kindergarten. Our curriculum is developmentally based, and preschoolers and children are grouped according to their age and development. We believe learning is a dynamic process that begins at birth and continues through adulthood. We are striving to teach Bible truths in a way that lays a foundation for faith in Jesus Christ and makes God relevant in our day-to-day lives. Learning Biblical truths at any early age provides stable foundations in life. Our key verse is I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you (Psalms 119).
Missions
Our mission organizations consist of North American and International Mission studies for ages three years through fifth grade. Our preschool Mission Friends classes are coed and developmentally based. Our organizations for grades first through fifth are divided with girls meeting together in GA's (Girls in Action). and boys meeting together in RA's (Royal Ambassadors). We invite you to come and learn how we can all be missionaries everyday in our own community. These studies are designed to enlighten childen on how they can grow up sharing the Word of Jesus with their friends and piers. Not only do they develop a stronger following of Jesus, but GA's and RA's affords them an opportunity to interact with other Christian children their age.
Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. Matthew 28:19-20
Children's Worship
Kingdom Kids and FOCUS offer special worship opporunities for children kindergarten through 4th grade. These groups leave the worship service to have a special time of children focused worship in our children ministry wing. Music, lessons, videos and other media is used during these worship times to help children develop a new or stronger faith. Content is age appropiate and allows children to better understand the teachings of the Bible. Join us one Sunday for this amazing worship experience.
Preteen
God has given preteens spiritual gifts to use in His kingdom. 2 Timothy 1:6 compares these gifts to a glowing coal or an ember, and we need to fan it into a flame and let it Ignite. Our preteen ministry is designed to feed these spiritual gifts and help them to burn bright for Jesus Christ. Our preteens will use these skills to help various ministries in the church. Worship Training
Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School is an important part of our ministry; bringing together Bible studies, activities, recreation and worship into a central environment allows children to focus solely on Jesus. This year join us for IncrediWorld Amazement Park, where kids take a thrill ride through God's creation. We want to encourage kids to trust the Bible and embrace the salvation message woven throughout each book. Our desire is that they will understand that their sin separates them from a loving God but that He has provided a way to heaven through His Son Jesus Christ. Camp ALL
Camp ALL - Created to be Creative is June 17, 18, 19. This Worship ARTS camp is for kids who have completed K-5th grade. Campers will choose 2 classes from things like: Art, Dance, Drama, Voice, Puppets, Tech, Instrument. At the end of week; Campers will lead Lakeside in a special worship service. Camp ALL is intended to build on or develop new valuable talents which can be used to share Jesus with those they come in contact. Through these talents children can reach others their age through a common interest.
