Security
We recently implemented a new security system. It allows members and non-members access to the Family Life Center during operating hours without the need to sign in. The new system will allow for better security for all members and guests who use the facility.
How It Works
During operating hours members and guests with an access card are able to enter the building by swiping the access card at the box outside of the main Family Life Center entrance. The access card allows members and non-members full access to the Family Life Center during operating hours. After hours the access card will not work.
Cost
The cost for the access card is $75 for non-Lakeside church members. The fee is good for one year. There is no cost for Lakeside church members. There is a replacement cost of $5 for lost cards for church members and non-church members. Payments in cash/check should be made to Lakeside Baptist Church and presented to the Family Life Center main desk at the time of enrollment.
Other Requirements
Everyone who receives an access card will need to complete an access card agreement form, which includes personal information and rules of access card usage.
For more information about how to purchase an access card, call Sarah Akins at 822-1240.

Upward Basketball
Each year Lakeside hosts one of the largest Upward Basketball leagues in the state. Upward is a Christian basketball league for children and youth from 1st through 4th grades. The purpose of Upward is to teach basketball, while sharing the good news of Jesus Christ in a fun, yet challenging league.
Lakeside conducts Upward basketball in conjunction with Briarwood Presbyterian Church. Information for this league is mailed to prior participants and made available to the public in September with a deadline in October. Following the deadline we will have a required evaluation night through which we will try to evenly divide teams. Practices for Upward are once a week beginning in late November/early December. Games are eight weeks in a row beginning in early January. At the end of the season we will recognize all participants at a special Awards Night.
