LAKESIDE CARES is the outreach ministry of Lakeside. This ministry focuses on equipping and mobilizing members to make disciples among those in physical and spiritual need in our community.

There are a variety of avenues through which to serve people in the Birmingham area. Whether they are homeless, victims of abuse, widowed, impoverished, recovering from addiction, unemployed, or otherwise in bondage, Lakeside is working to reach and care for them by partnering with the BMBA and a local church plant to serve those in the Eastlake/Woodlawn area.

The Alabama Baptist Children’s Home

We have an incredible opportunity this Christmas to partner with a local ministry that is less than a mile away. The Alabama Baptist Children’s Home is asking churches, businesses, small groups, and families to sponsor children and mothers who are in their care for Christmas.

Many Life Groups have already risen to the challenge!

Every year during the Christmas season, Lakeside Baptist Church in partnership with the Birmingham Metro Baptist Association makes and distributes stockings. Each stocking has a list of items to fill for children that are in need. Every child who receives a stocking lives in the Birmingham Metro area.

1. Pick ua a stocking in Sunday School or from the church office.

2. Fill stocking with items from the list in the stockings.

3. Return stockings to the church office by November 28.

Please help make this Christmas a special time for these children!

There are a variety of avenues through which to serve within the community. We serve the homeless, victims of abuse, widowed, orphans, impoverished, recovering from addiction, illiterate, and unemployed. Lakeside is working to reach and care for our community through our own endevors, but also through partnering with other ministries, churches, and organizations.
